Improved drainability

Valve configurations

GEMÜ offers three different ways of achieving increased functionality in the smallest of spaces:

  • Two valves welded together: W600
  • Two seats in one valve body with three pipe connections: i-bodies
  •  Any number of seats with any number of connections: multi-port valve block systems

W600: Renders T fittings superfluous

The GEMÜ W600 valve configuration is based on the use of two valve bodies that are directly welded to one another, whose arrangement is matched to the respective application. The benefits of this approach are as follows:

  •  More affordable and minimal deadleg, since no T fittings are required
  • Minimal deadleg, since there are two fewer weld seams

GEMÜ W600

With the W600 welding configuration, maximum functionality in the smallest of spaces is provided thanks to the arrangement of two sealed diaphragm valve bodies to suit the respective application. Furthermore, the assembly goes without a T piece, and thus the dead space between the valves is substantially reduced and two welds are no longer necessary. If a superior design or a version with a wider range of functions is required, a GEMÜ multi-port valve block in stainless steel, for example, can be relied upon.

More about the series

i-bodies: Cost effective alternative to M600 multi-port valve blocks

GEMÜ i-bodies are a special version of the classic 2/2-way bodies. "i" stands for integrated sampling, steam and condensate valve. The valve bodies are manufactured from a forged blank or a piece of block material. The major advantages of i-bodies over standard sampling or condensate valves are as follows:

  • Minimal deadleg, since fewer welds
  • Additional functionality; horizontal spigot available
  • Draining possible in vertical installation position as per the 3D rule
  • Pneumatic and manual operators are available for both valve seats

GEMÜ W600 i-bodies

As a special construction type of the traditional 2/2-way body, the patented GEMÜ i-bodies have an additional integrated valve seat. This means that they feature no internal weld seams and have a reduced deadleg. The integrated valve seats of i-bodies have various uses, including as sampling, steam and condensate valves.

Bypass

The bypass valve comprises a forged body with an integrated smaller valve seat. In comparison with the i-bodies previously described, this seat is connected in parallel to the main seat. This valve type is particularly suitable for applications which require flow rates that change and that, at the same time, vary considerably – as is often the case on tank systems and filling machines, for example.

  • Variable volumetric flow
  • Continuous minimum media flow rate
  • Precise dosing option
  • Large control range thanks to parallel connection of two different seat sizes in one valve
  • Function of a static mixer
  • Suitable as a sampling and take-off valve
  • Different installation positions possible

As a special construction type of the traditional 2/2-way body, a bypass solution has an additional integrated valve seat, which is connected in parallel to the main seat.
