Das 2/2-Wege-Membranventil GEMÜ R647 ist ein Durchgangsventil und wird pneumatisch betätigt. Das Ventil besitzt keine Schließfeder und wird lediglich mittels Beaufschlagung mit Druckluft geschlossen. Am Ventilsitz befindet sich eine Membranabdichtung. Die Armatur besteht im Wesentlichen aus drei Teilen, dem Ventilkörper, der Absperrmembrane und dem Deckel mit Steuermediumsanschluss. Das Steuermedium beaufschlagt die Absperrmembrane und drückt diese gegen den sich im Ventilkörper befindlichen Absperrsteg. Der High-Flow Ventilkörper erlaubt kompakte Abmessungen bei hohen Durchflusswerten.

The control medium applies direct pressure to the shut off diaphragm pressing it against the shut off weir in the valve body. The high-flow valve body provides compact dimensions at high flow rates.
